Wyatt James

I just looked back over the past year of my Blog… I’m not what we would call a consistent blogger. That being said, I am ready to redeem myself by jumping into a new blogging year (2010) with a killer first post. I give you, my brand new son: Wyatt James. (I can hear the applause all the way down here in Augusta, GA).

He weighed in @ 6 lbs. 9 0z. & 19 1/2 ” long (which is the same as “tall” except for that he can’t stand up).

He’s healthy and so is his mom.  He enjoys being awake and being held between the hours of midnight & 2 am. His pet peeves: bathing and going more than 2.5 hours between feedings. Like father, like son I suppose.

Me & My Boy

Just before we left the hospital.

God is good.

I’m Having a Son

BabyBoy_2_2It’s true. Hilary and I are now into the seventh month of anticipation. Plus I haven’t been nauseous yet! (Hilary is unable to say the same) Just to let you in on what’s running through my minds currently:

  • Baby boy clothes contain WAY too many pastel shades of blue. A baby boy is a little man, not a little girl that likes the color blue.
  • I hate painting. There is a lot of painting to be done between now and January 25th.
  • I like sleep. I’m going to miss it.
  • I’m excited, albeit in a terrified sort of way.
  • Baby Super Stores top the list of “daunting places to shop.”
  • Car seat laws are complicated. Whatever happened to the “kid strapped in with pillows” method? That seemed to work for generations…
  • When should a responsible father by his son his first set of junior golf clubs?

Plus: He has a name.
